Is it Labor Day yet?

What a crazy week! We have been so so so so busy with life! :) And with wonderful things! :)

Last Sunday we had the opportunity to go hangout and have family home evening with the Roylance family at Grandma and Grandpa's. They talked about keeping the Sabbath day holy and how the church is making a big push right now to have Sabbath day observance! We always want to make sure that we are doing what heavenly father wants us to do on the Sabbath. Although there are wonderful lists of Do's and Don'ts on the Sabbath, it really is what help your family to feel comfortable and ready to listen to the spirit and what you feel helps to keep the spirit in your home.

Some things that we would like to try with our future family is to have a bin of movies that are appropriate for Sunday and that way our family knows what movies are okay for Sunday. I think it is a great idea to have an FHE where we talk about what movies can go in the bin and why. Do they help us to be good and feel the spirit? Those kinds of things!

Monday, Christopher helped some of our new neighbors move in and Moose, our kitty, thought that would be such a fun thing to help with too. He made himself at home and all the movers thought he was really funny. I brought otter pops over for the movers and then we got a couple things done around the house. After, I had a work issue with Facebook on the LuLaRoe page and ended up staying up until almost midnight trying to fix it...Needless to say it wasn't my favorite way to start the workweek...

Tuesday, I made some yummy pumpkin cookies and went to the neighborhood girls barbecue! We had a lot of fun getting to know each other at the barbecue! I really wanted to go so that I could meet some new people and start learning more about people in the ward. It was a great activity! Christopher was nice enough to go help get Eric and Skylee's kiddos in bed so they could have a date night after a long month of recovery! We spent the night hanging out at their house and headed home a little late :)...again.

Wednesday afternoon, I was working on a committee at school where we are hoping to change the mindset of our kids to a more open minded type learning rather than closed minded or fixed mindset. It's a really neat thing! I love the idea!

Then! My parents invited us to go up to Park City and stay the night in a condo up there! We went to dinner at Main Street Pizza and Noodle! Such a yummy place! Loved it! Then we went and got ice cream at Java Cow! Yummy ice cream for sure!

And then played a game and were able to relax and head to bed...also a little late, but not bad! But we did have to get up earlier so that we could get to work on time in the morning which means we didn't get as much sleep as we would have preferred....

And I woke up on Thursday ready for GAME DAY! The Utes played a fantastic game that night after I went to work and Christopher got to play games with Jason and Kevin! We both watched the game and were planning to go home early, but yet again...we didn't :) Late night getting home after watching the game with Ken! It's funny, I had a bunch of kids love my attire and then I got a little grief about it too! Still! We won and that's all that matters!

Friday was crazy crazy! I got off work and my principal asked me if my data team at the school would represent other middle schools to the board and superintendent about how we utilize team time on Friday mornings. No pressure! It will be good! I just need to be prepared for this meeting, which I am currently not ready for!

After that, I RAN down to Orem for a meeting about Buena Vida! This is an orphanage that we are working with in Mexico and my family is going to be heading up on funding/helping to build this orphanage a more permanent residence! We are so excited for this project and will be working to make that a better place for these kids. I was basically deemed part of the board to make this happen and I am actually REALLY excited about it! We are proposing to Silver Rush next week to see if that is something that they would consider donating to!

I went to dinner with my parents and grandparents after that to further discuss details and getting ready to go for this project. Christopher went to dinner at Eric and Skylee's with Kevin and Kacee and I joined them after for yummy dessert that Kacee made (mint oreo deliciousness balls of joy and homemade cookies) and then we played a very fun broadway game that is almost like a variation on life, but for the performers life! Its really fun!

What wasn't fun, was that night we realized we hadn't seen Moose anywhere. He was nowhere to be found and we looked and looked and called his name and his food hadn't changed all day and we were really worried. We prayed and prayed and didn't find him that night even after staying up late and waiting to see if he'd come around. I woke up early and sat on the porch for a while and still didn't see him. Christopher was prompted by the spirit to go look outside again and he ended up finding him! Luckily!

Saturday morning was busy as always! We got lots done in the yard and I went to a couple of yard sales and found a few things. Not a busy yard sale day over labor day weekend, but I found a couple of things for us like baskets and wrapping paper and a few books. Then we had a NICE LONG NAP! from all the crazy late nights of the week! I went and worked a little bit with the LuLaRoe stuff while Christopher got a few more things done around the house and we had the D'dabbo family over for dinner! Yummy hamburgers with bacon, avocado, onions, tomatoes, some condiments! They were actually extremely messy burgers, but super yummy! Then we played a round of Phase10 the Twist version which was actually really fun! And then Bonanza! The bean game that we like and haven't played in a while! It was great!

It was a great week! And today is fast Sunday! I'm starving, but we are fasting for growth in our family:) Praying hard! And hoping a lot ;)
